Listing Verification Policy

How a publisher gets listed on GPSitesList, what “verified” means here, and what keeps a listing in good standing.

Every listing is reviewed

New submissions go through a manual review before they appear. We’re checking for one thing above all: is this a genuine editorial publication, or a link farm dressed up as one?

  • Site check. The site is live, functional, and actually publishes.
  • Editorial team. There are real, named authors with a track record — not anonymous filler.
  • Content quality. Articles are original and substantive, not thin or spun.
  • No PBN signals. The site isn’t part of a private blog network built to sell links.
  • Contact. There’s a real, reachable point of contact.
  • Niche. The publication is assigned to the niche it genuinely serves.

What “verified” means here

Honesty is the whole point of this directory, so we’re precise about the word “verified.” A Verified badge means a human has independently confirmed the listing’s core metrics against a real source. Where we haven’t done that yet, the listing shows a Self-reported badge and every metric is labelled publisher-reported or public estimate. We never display a metric we can’t attribute, and we never invent verification.

Metrics and how they’re shown

Listings may show Domain Rating (an Ahrefs metric), Domain Authority (a Moz metric), and an estimated monthly organic traffic figure. These are third-party proxies for site strength, calculated differently by different tools — see DA vs DR explained. Each number carries its source and, where verified, a date.

Staying listed

Listings are reviewed on an ongoing basis. A publisher may be removed for confirmed PBN participation, a collapse in content quality, repeated failure to attribute paid links after warnings, adding prohibited content, or a Google manual action. Publishers can update or remove their own listings at any time by contacting us.
